How to Delete Your Account

You can delete your account at any time using either of the following methods. No phone call or explanation is required.

• In the app (fastest): open Profile → Settings → Delete account, then confirm. Available on both iOS and Android.
• By email: if you no longer have the app installed, send a request from your registered email address to support@joinmenow.io with the subject "Delete my account". We may ask you to confirm ownership of the account before we proceed.

Process and Timeline

Your account is deactivated as soon as you confirm, and your profile immediately stops being visible to other members. We complete the deletion within 14 days.

What Gets Deleted

Deleting your account removes the following from our systems:

• Your profile, name, bio, photos, videos, interests, and preferences
• Your account details, email address, phone number, and date of birth
• Your content, experiences you created, posts, and message content
• Your synced contact data, the one-way phone number hashes and saved contact names
• Your connections, matches, and requests
• Saved locations and push notification tokens

Deleting Only Some of Your Data

You don't have to delete your whole account to remove specific data. In the app you can delete individual photos, posts, and experiences, wipe all of your synced contacts from the contact discovery settings, and revoke any device permission (location, contacts, camera, microphone, photos, notifications) in your device settings at any time.

What We Keep, and For How Long

After deletion we retain a limited set of data only where the law requires it or to protect community safety, as described in the Data Retention section of our Privacy Policy. Retained data is never used for marketing.

• Transaction records: 10 years, for tax and accounting compliance
• SMS consent records: at least 4 years, as required under TCPA/CTIA
• Safety records: 3 months, or 1 year following a ban, to investigate harmful conduct and prevent banned users from re-registering
• Traffic and log data: 1 year
• Anything under an active legal hold: until the matter is resolved

Before You Delete: Cancel Your Subscription

If you have an active JoinMeIn+ subscription, deleting your account does not cancel it, subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google, not by us. Cancel it first in Settings → your name → Subscriptions on iOS, or in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions on Android. See our Subscription Terms for full details.
